Rental Terms and Conditions

1. Company identification

2. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions apply to (1) the short-term rental of the property located at 58 Chemin de la Plâtrière, 06130 Grasse, and (2) the participation in Art Retreats organised, hosted or facilitated by La Plâtrière SARL — on the property or at external locations in France or abroad. Accommodation bookings and Art Retreat bookings may occur independently or together; unless otherwise stated in the retreat description, the following articles apply to both.

3. Reservation and payment

Accommodation: Reservations are made online via this website. A 25% down payment is required to confirm any accommodation booking. The remaining balance must be paid 40 days prior to arrival.

Art Retreats: Retreat bookings require a non-refundable deposit (the amount is specified in the retreat description). The remaining balance must be paid 90 days before the start of the retreat. Participation is confirmed only once full payment has been received.

4. Cancellation

Accommodation: Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, provided the booking was made more than 14 days before the start of the stay. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 14 days before the start of the stay. No refund if cancellation is made less than 14 days before the start of the stay.

Art Retreats: All payments for Art Retreats — including deposits and remaining balances — are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the date or reason for cancellation. Participants are strongly advised to take out personal travel, health and cancellation insurance. If La Plâtrière SARL must cancel a retreat (including for reasons of force majeure), all payments — except personal travel expenses — will be refunded in full.

5. Security deposit

Accommodation: A security deposit of €2,000 is required upon arrival by credit card or bank transfer. It will be refunded at the end of the stay, less any damages.

Art Retreats: For retreats held at external locations, no accommodation-related security deposit is required. However, participants are responsible for any damage they cause to retreat facilities, provided art materials, equipment or third-party property.

6. Liability

La Plâtrière SARL declines all responsibility for accidents, injuries, illnesses, damages, losses or theft affecting the tenant or participant during their stay or retreat activities. Participation in all Art Retreat activities — including but not limited to studio work, plein-air painting, excursions, walking paths, swimming and local travel — is strictly at the participant’s own risk. Participants must ensure they are physically able to take part in the planned activities and must disclose any relevant health conditions.

7. Disputes

Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of this agreement will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Grasse, France.
